Dustin Atkinson, CPA
Dustin comes from Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia where he worked in and around the fishing industry. This experience has provided him with a well-rounded knowledge of the industry.
He moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 2013 after graduating from Saint Mary’s University with the aim of advancing his career opportunities in accounting and business. While in Red Deer, Dustin worked for a CPA firm for 6 years and obtained his CPA designation in 2019.
During this time, Dustin obtained accounting and tax experience while working with a wide range of clients in farming, oil, consulting, investment, and manufacturing. In 2015 Dustin was focused on advising clients in the farming industry. These clients ranged from small self-employed farmers to large corporate farms. During this time, he continued to advise clients in other industries.
Dustin left Alberta in 2019 to pursue a career opportunity with White Perkins Associates. He was happy to return to Nova Scotia and now works out of the firm’s new office in Pubnico. Dustin successfully completed the three-year CPA in-depth tax program in 2023.
Outside of work, Dustin enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and two dogs.
