Jennifer obtained her CA designation in 1992 while working with KPMG in their Yarmouth office. She then transferred to the Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, KPMG office. Subsequently, with KPMG closing its smaller offices, this firm was renamed Chapman Riendeau and then Chapman Verwey Chartered Accountants. Jennifer worked there until 2000, where she was promoted to a junior partner.

Jennifer left Portage le Prairie in 2000 to accept the opportunity of partnership with Gwenda Wheelans, and moving back to beautiful Nova Scotia. She is now the managing partner of White Perkins Associates.

Jennifer’s experience is vast from that of managing the audit of a national property and casualty insurance company, to the audit of government agencies, to the review of a growing fish buyer, to business and tax advisory services provided to an unincorporated husband and wife owned operation.

While Jennifer’s experience includes many profit businesses in numerous different industries and differing sizes from national to the home-based business, she also specializes in not-for-profit engagements including government agencies and community service organizations.

Jennifer has worked on several municipal unit audits and recently completed the Municipal Audit Course offered through the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia.

Jennifer’s experience includes: serving as the engagement quality control reviewer and/or engagement lead on audits and reviews; preparing and reviewing year-end files; preparing and reviewing personal, corporate and estate tax returns; tax planning services; preparation of cash-flow projections, business plans and assisting with grant and government funding applications; and providing advice on other business matters.

Jennifer is married with 3 beautiful and busy children.
